About The Author
Tom Hagley is an accomplished instructor of
public relations, teaching principles, writing, plans, and campaigns
courses for the School of Journalism and Communication at the
University of Oregon. He has been a guest instructor at The University
of Georgia, Missouri School of Journalism–Columbia, Linfield College
and The University of Portland.

years of progressive experience as a corporate public and investor
relations executive, private consultant, worldwide public relations
agency executive and metropolitan daily newspaper reporter. He has

Hagley is a professional writer recognized
nationally by public relations practitioners and educators as a
contributor of knowledge with many articles published in business and
professional journals including five featured in The Strategist magazine
published by the Public Relations Society of America. He is a
master of all forms of public relations writing, including plans,
Congressional testimony, executive speeches, as well as white papers,
one of which served as the basis for solving an international trade
crisis among six countries.
